 RITHU 2019( DAY 4)

 Everyone united near Pothencode M.T.Cinema Hall for starting the field at 6.30 am. We had two buses for the trip. Courtallam,Thenamala, Palaruvu were the spots selected for field trip. We started our journey at 6.30 am and reached Courtallam at 10.30 am. Courtallam is not all about waterfalls but it is a popular pilgrimage centre. Thousands of devotees visit the several temples in and around courtallam. It is believed that Lord Shiva in the form of Lord Nataraja performed his divine dance. We spent almost three hours there and started our journey to Palaruvu at 1.30 pm, in between we had lunch from a hotel. Around 2.30 pm, we reached Palaruvu. It is Kerala's thirty second biggest waterfall. It falls from the height of 300 feet.


It is situated at Aryankavu in the Kollam district. From their we started our journey to Thenmala at 4 pm. We reached the spot. It is among the ecotourism sites in Kerala. Here we visited the Thenmala Dam. The dam is constructed across kallada river. It is the second largest irrigation project in Kerala.


The view from the places so pleasing to the eyes and soul. We returned from the place at 6 pm and at sharp 9.30 pm we reached at Pothencode. The trip was such a wonderful experience for everyone together and we all got a chance to spent time together a little longer.

RITHU 2019 ( Day 3)

 The day started with yoga. Student teachers participated in Yoga session at sharp 7 am. After having the breakfast the trainees visited, "Karunalayam" at Pothencode. The time spent by the trainees with many aged people from different places was a different experiences. They even conducted programs there and made them participate. We also celebrated Christmas with the aged mother's. At 1 pm, we returned to college. After having the lunch everyone discussed on the success of the camp and also some suggestions were made to improve it in the future. The principal of the college, Smt. Vimala Kumari Amma addressed everyone who attended the camp. By 3.30 pm in the evening everyone left for their home holding up many memories with them and thus the day's program came to an end.

RITHU 2019 (day 2)

 RITHU 2019 (DAY 2)

 Started the day's programs with the seminar conducted by Dr.P. Santhosh Kumar (Teacher, Govt.HSS, Neduveli). In the beginning, he talked about various problems and difficulties faced by students and he also reminded each and every learners the responsibility and duties of a teacher. Later, he discussed with the trainees various difficult situations he faced and the lessons he learnt from it in a interesting way. As the seminar session ended, the trainees were given a short break which was followed by craft making . Then at 1 pm, everyone including the teachers, trainees and staff of the college had lunch , organized by the food commitee.


After the lunch , the trainees were shown a film in M.T. Cinema Hall, Pothencode. By 6 pm, we came back to college and started the Christmas program at 7 pm. There were programs at different diversity. All the programs were concluded in a systematic way. We were able to finish it at 9 o'clock. After having the dinner the camp fire began at 9.30 pm. Everyone enjoyed the camp fire as it was a new experience for many. By


 10 'o clock, the programs were finished and everyone went to rest room. Spending a whole day with friends was really a new experience to everyone.

RITHU 2019 ( DAY 1)

 As per B.Ed curriculum, SNGK B.ed college conducted a camp for the batch of( 2019-2020) which was inaugurated on 17 th December, Tuesday at 10 am. The camp which aimed at the overall development of personality and leadership quality among teacher trainees. Camp began with a prayer by Saranya.V.Thambi. The college union chairman, Sooraj Darsan extended the welcome speech. The inauguration was done by the sub Inspector of police and former student, Mr.Rahul Raveendran in the presence of the college principal, smt.Vimala Kumari Amma. There after the college administrator officer Shri.Saharajan and the college vice chairperson, Nimisha.A,delivered the falicitation speech. The college general secretary Punya.S. concluded the inaugural ceremony by vote of thanks.


 After the inauguration a seminar was conducted on," Students Hygiene" by Dr.Nimmy.K.Paulose. The seminar, which aimed at giving an awareness on individual hygiene and social hygiene among teacher trainees was very informative and useful. Everyone had the opportunity to clear their doubts regarding hygiene.


After the seminar session, we had lunch at 1 pm, which was well prepared and managed by the food committee.


After the lunch time, at 2 pm, we had the discussion on the subject, ' Community Living' which was led by the writer and poet, Dr. Ajir kutty. The major problems that stand in the way of introducing value based education and also the social problems were discussed. The session was very responsive and we were able to get a clear picture on the subject. The session lasted till 4.30 pm and thus the first day program was conducted well.
