RITHU 2019 ( DAY 4)

 RITHU 2019( DAY 4)

Everyone united near Pothencode M.T.Cinema Hall for starting the field at 6.30 am. We had two buses for the trip. Courtallam,Thenamala, Palaruvu were the spots selected for field trip. We started our journey at 6.30 am and reached Courtallam at 10.30 am. Courtallam is not all about waterfalls but it is a popular pilgrimage centre. Thousands of devotees visit the several temples in and around courtallam. It is believed that Lord Shiva in the form of Lord Nataraja performed his divine dance. We spent almost three hours there and started our journey to Palaruvu at 1.30 pm, in between we had lunch from a hotel. Around 2.30 pm, we reached Palaruvu. It is Kerala's thirty second biggest waterfall. It falls from the height of 300 feet.

It is situated at Aryankavu in the Kollam district. From their we started our journey to Thenmala at 4 pm. We reached the spot. It is among the ecotourism sites in Kerala. Here we visited the Thenmala Dam. The dam is constructed across kallada river. It is the second largest irrigation project in Kerala.

The view from the places so pleasing to the eyes and soul. We returned from the place at 6 pm and at sharp 9.30 pm we reached at Pothencode. The trip was such a wonderful experience for everyone together and we all got a chance to spent time together a little longer.
